Kerolin’s stunning hat-trick – the first ever scored against Chelsea in the league – headlined a performance that underlined City’s growing dominance.
Manchester United continued their push behind the leaders, coming from behind to beat Liverpool 3–1 and climbing into second. London City Lionesses ended a five-game winless run in the league with a hard-fought 2–1 away victory over Brighton – their first league win since 16 November.
Brighton started the brighter of the two sides and took a deserved lead on 23 minutes, as Kiko Seike produced a beautiful outside-of-the-boot finish following a clever backheel assist from Madison Haley.
London City responded 13 minutes later when Moeka Minami rifled the ball into her own net after misjudging a dangerous cross from Freya Godfrey.
The hosts continued to push and twice struck the woodwork through Haley and Noordam, but were punished on the stroke of half-time. After a lightning counter-attack, Godfrey cut in from the right and curled a sublime finish into the far corner to give the visitors the lead.
Brighton chased an equaliser after the break, registering 10 shots in the second half – but none on target – as their wastefulness in front of goal proved decisive.
The result lifts London City to 6th on 19 points, easing the pressure after a difficult run. Brighton’s inconsistent form continues as they drop to 7th, two points behind the Lionesses.

Martina Fernandez struck twice as Everton came from behind to beat Aston Villa 2–1 at Goodison Park, securing a vital home win after three straight defeats.
Villa opened the scoring early when Ebony Salmon latched onto a terrible misplaced pass from Everton’s Wheeler, drove forward, and finished superbly into the top corner past a helpless Courtney Brosnan.
Everton responded well, pushing for an equaliser, and were rewarded midway through the first half when Martina Fernandez arrived unmarked at the far post to power home a header from a Ruby Mace corner. Villa should have retaken the lead just a minute later, but Kirsty Hanson somehow missed from two yards with the goal gaping. Vignola then rattled the crossbar before the break with a driven effort from distance.
The second half continued in similar fashion, with both sides pushing for a winner.
It eventually arrived in the 89th minute – once again through Fernandez, who timed her run perfectly to nod in another pinpoint delivery from Mace, sending the home crowd into raptures.
The win lifts Everton to 9th, putting some daylight between themselves and the drop zone. Villa, inconsistent throughout the campaign, remain 8th, missing a chance to close the gap on the top half.

Manchester United extended their unbeaten league run to five games with a commanding 3–1 win over Liverpool, tightening their grip on a top-three spot.
The first half was a cagey, evenly matched affair, with both sides struggling to carve out clear-cut chances in a tightly contested midfield battle.
That changed after the interval. United came out with purpose, raising the tempo and finding the breakthrough just seven minutes after the restart. A pinpoint long-range pass from Mallard found Park, who cut back for Lisa Naalsund to rifle into the roof of the net from 12 yards.
Liverpool responded well and equalised on 59 minutes, as Alice Bergström poked home from close range after a goalmouth scramble fell kindly to her in the box.
But United hit back immediately – just 30 seconds later – with Naalsund grabbing her second of the match, a composed low finish from the edge of the area to restore the lead. The result was sealed in the 87th minute when Fridolina Rolfö arrived at the near post to convert Lundkvist’s cutback and cap off a slick counter-attack.
The result sends United up to 2nd, leapfrogging both Arsenal and Chelsea. Liverpool’s three-match unbeaten run comes to an end, but their performance offered further evidence that relegation is far from a foregone conclusion.

Tottenham got back to winning ways, coming from behind to beat their London rivals 2–1.
This season surprise package Spurs were stunned early on when Shekiera Martinez gave the hosts the lead, finishing off a well-worked West Ham move inside the opening ten minutes. It looked like Viviane Asseyi had doubled the advantage soon after, only for a last-ditch clearance from Toko Kogo to deny the Hammers a second.
Tottenham took complete control after the break, and their dominance eventually paid off on 54 minutes. Martina Vinberg picked up the ball in what looked like a harmless area, but unleashed a thunderbolt from over 20 yards – top corner, no chance for Megan Walsh.
From that point on, it was all Spurs. The winner came on 73 minutes, and it was another screamer – this time from Olivia Holdt, who pounced on a loose pass on the edge of the box and smashed a first-time finish beyond the West Ham keeper.
Spurs were reduced to ten late on, but West Ham couldn’t capitalise.
Tottenham stay 5th, now just one point behind Chelsea in 3rd. West Ham, still with just two wins all season, sit 11th, a single point above bottom-placed Liverpool, with relegation concerns continuing to mount.

Manchester City dismantled Chelsea 5–1 at the Etihad in a ruthless display. It was a result that underlined their growing dominance in this season’s WSL and took them a step closer to a first league title since 2016. City have now won 13 straight league games and sit eleven points clear at the top – 12 ahead of the reigning champions.
It was billed as a potential title decider, but any sense of balance quickly faded. Kerolin opened the scoring on 13 minutes, rifling home through a crowded penalty area after reacting quickest to a failed Chelsea clearance from a corner.
Chelsea looked unusually sluggish, limited to speculative efforts from distance as City seized control. The hosts doubled their lead on 36 minutes – Bunny Shaw latching onto a pass from Vivianne Miedema, outmuscling Naomi Girma, and finishing coolly past Hannah Hampton.
The second half brought more punishment. Just four minutes after the restart, Kerolin picked the ball up inside her own half and ran the length of the pitch before lifting a sublime dinked finish over Hampton – a goal fit for any showreel. Five minutes later, she completed her hat-trick – the first ever scored against Chelsea in WSL history – turning in Lauren Hemp’s low cross to cap a breathtaking spell.
Alyssa Thompson offered brief respite for the Blues with a sharp finish from the edge of the area, but Miedema restored the four-goal margin with a deft near-post flick from a Kerstin Casparij corner.
This was not just a win – it was a power shift. Chelsea, champions four years running, have now lost three of their last five following the end of their 34-match unbeaten league run. City, unbeaten since the opening day, are surging toward the title – and right now, no one looks capable of stopping them.
