What She Wore: 2025 Ballon d’Or Edition

It was the biggest night of the year at the 69th Ballon d’Or in Paris last week.

While Aitana Bonmatí took home the top gong for the third year in a row and Vicky López was crowned Best Young Player, the real competition played out on the red carpet. The elite of women’s football turned up looking outrageously glam – dazzling sequins, sharp tailoring, and some seriously spenny clobber. No expense spared and not a shin pad in sight.

From power suits to sparkling evening dresses (and even a massive, dreamy coat), we’ve rounded up our standout looks from the night – and exactly where to find them (or cop the closest match).

Emily Fox. The American lit up Paris in hot pink – bold, confident, and effortlessly radiating main-character energy.

DELFI Mica Max Dress, £282
Caroline Weir. A scarlet showstopper that turned heads, Weir proved less is more – one bold colour, maximum impact.

MOOS STUDIO Asymmetric-neck Maxi Dress, £861
Cristiana Girelli. The Italian’s serving effortless elegance – sleek tailoring, deep plunge, and just the right dose of drama. Bellissima.

Armani Single-Breasted Jacket, £1,700
Aitana Bonmatí. The champ arrived like she meant it – sculpted, stylish, and every inch in control. A look that says: winner, again.

MARTA MARTÍ Galaxy Dress, £846
Leah Williamson. A slick mix of lace and tailoring – powerful, polished, and a little bit rockstar. Captain energy, redefined.

ZARA trouser with turn-up waist £59.99. ZARA Tailored Butoon Blazer, £89.99
Vicky Lopez. The night’s rising star turned heads in sequins – sharp, shimmering, and full of attitude. Future icon energy, confirmed.

Whistles, Sequin Double Breasted Blazer, £65,
Mary Earps. Old Hollywood meets modern swagger – a strapless monochrome gown with keeper-level confidence. Glamour with grit.

Off The Shoulder Floor Length Dress, £104.46
Kate Scott. A walking disco ball and we’re so here for it – full sparkle, totally stunning, zero subtlety, and absolutely stealing the show.

Claudie Sequined Gown, £1,325
Sarina Wiegman. The boss of all bosses in a burgundy power suit – sharp lines, rich tone, and authority in every stitch.

Hopsack Blazer, £199. Pleated Trousers, £145
Lucy Bronze. A floor-sweeping coat, a pleated gown, and pure movie-star energy. Warm, white, and way too chic for the sidelines.

JOSEPH Cashmere Coat, £836

From pitch icons to red-carpet pros, this year’s Ballon d’Or proved one thing: the women’s game doesn’t just excel in talent – it excels in taste. Whether it’s sequins, suiting, or statement outerwear, these players are rewriting the fashion playbook one gala at a time.
