The 2025/26 Subway League Cup group stage fixture list has been released – and it promises to be one of the most competitive campaigns yet.
The action kicks off on Wednesday 24 September, when all 20 clubs take to the pitch on Matchday 1, with every fixture played under the lights in what is set to be a bumper evening of football.
From there, the pace only intensifies. The group stage crams 34 matches into just two months, running from 24 September to 23 November, delivering a relentless schedule and setting the stage for fierce battles across five groups.
Meanwhile, clubs competing in the UEFA Champions League – Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United – will bypass the group phase and advance directly to the quarter-finals, raising the stakes for the rest of the field.
Adding to the anticipation, the competition will be more accessible than ever. Thanks to a new broadcast deal, Sky Sports will screen the majority of ties, while BBC One will show selected fixtures — ensuring fans won’t miss a moment once the full TV listings are confirmed.
