Gameweek 12 was hit by some proper grim British weather, with three WSL2 matches called off – Durham vs Sunderland, Ipswich vs Charlton and Newcastle vs Birmingham all postponed.
That should have opened the door for the WSL to dominate this week’s Absolute Banger picks. Instead, the WSL2 had other ideas.
Despite the reduced schedule, WSL2 still grabs three of this week’s five spots, and every one of them is fully deserved.
There’s a proper mix in this week’s selection too: long-range thunderbolts, a delicate chip, and a Beckham-esque curler. Lovely stuff.
And the soundtrack? Absolute banger as per usual.
